@OspreySwim Heads to CCSA Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—The University of North Florida's swimming and diving team heads to Knoxville, Tenn., to compete in the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Championships this week. The 2014 Championships commences on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at the Allan Jones Aquatics Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee and continues through Saturday, Feb. 22.

Last season, the Ospreys finished the CCSA Championships in sixth place. During the three-day meet, North Florida posted two school records. Â In the 400 freestyle relay, Rebeca Bernard, Caitlyn Gutierrez, Maria Bernard and Natalie McCallum broke the previous school record of 3:29.49, almost a full second by recording a time of 3:28.52. Amy Taylor, Olivia Langford, Maria Bernard and McCallum broke the 800 freestyle relay school record of 7:33.18, with a time of 7:32.66. The Ospreys' Sara Evans earned North Florida's sole All-CCSA accolade with her second-place finish in the 400 individual medley.

For fans making the trip to Knoxville, Tenn., three-day championship passes are $25, while two-day passes are $18. Single day passes are $10. Children under 5 years old will be admitted free. Please note that there will be no additional charge for Wednesday evening.

The CCSA Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships will once again be video streamed on the Big South Network.

All three days of the Championship will be video-streamed LIVE and can be purchased for $7.95, or a single day viewing pass for $4.95. Fans can purchase the video streaming packages HERE.

In addition to the video stream, the CCSA will provide free live results through the HyTek manager system. The link for the live results will be available at a later date on www.TheCCSA.com. There will also be live Twitter updates on CCSA Twitter page (@TheCCSA), updating you on all the action of the CCSA Championships.
