Final Results
STATESBORO, Ga.—The University of North Florida swimming and diving team fell to Georgia Southern 195-96 and Gardner-Webb 190-103 on Saturday afternoon at the RAC Aquatics Center.

Amy Taylor placed first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:03.80. Also in the 500-yard freestyle, Kara Plocharsky finished with a time of 5:21.94 and Caitlyn Gutierrez (5:29.47) finished second and third among the Ospreys.

In the 200-yard medley relay, the Ospreys claimed fifth-place with the team of Ana Cristina de Paula, Bridget Woods, Natalie McCallum and Mariana de Paula and a time of 1:51.73.
Taylor (17:59.27) and Plocharsky (18:19.34) finished third and fourth respectively, in the 1650-yard freestyle. Â Â

In the 200-yard freestyle, Maria Bernard (1:58.39) and Rebeca Bernard (1:58.74) finished back-to-back to claim sixth and seventh, respectively. Gutierrez finished with a time of 2:04.57 claiming third-place among the Ospreys.

Ana Cristina de Paula was the top finisher among the Osprey with a time of 1:01.14 in the 100-yard backstroke. Janie Kennedy (1:01.65), Angel Morrison (1:02.84) and Kristina Alexiou (1:05.04) finished seventh, 10th and 11th, respectively.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, Woods placed sixth with a time of 1:08.60 and McCallum finished ninth with a time of 1:09.41.

In the 200-yard butterfly, Lissa Janowicz (2:12.41) and Plocharsky (2:14.43) finished first and second among the Ospreys. Taylor finished with a time of 2:18.15 and Maxwell finished with a time of 2:26.25.

Mariana de Paula claimed third-place with a time of 24.79 in the 50-yard freestyle. Rebeca Bernard (25.51), Eva Porter (26.01) and Kennedy (26.25) finished seventh, 11th and 12th, respectively. Â

In the 100-yard freestyle, Rebeca Bernard finished fourth with a time of 55.06 and Mariana de Paula (55.43) finished sixth. Maria Bernard (55.58) and Porter (56.70) finished seventh and 10th, respectively.

Kennedy (2:14.91), Morrison (2:18.19) and Alexiou (2:19.18) finished one, two and three among the Ospreys in the 200-yard backstroke.

In the 200-yard breaststroke, Woods (2:29.39) and Ana Cristina de Paula (2:32.63) were the Ospreys top competitors.

Janowicz placed ninth with a time of 1:02.37 in the 100-yard butterfly. Porter (1:02.51) and Maxwell (1:03.85) finished 10th and 11th, respectively.

In the 200-yard Individual Medley, Woods with a time of 2:13.75 in third-place. Janowicz finished sixth with a time of 2:19.31.

In the 200-yard Freestyle Relay, the Osprey A team of Rebeca Bernard, Porter, Maria Bernard and McCallum, finished third with a time of 1:40.49. The Osprey B team of Morrison, Kennedy, Gutierrez and Ana Cristina de Paula finished fourth with a time of 1:45.84.

In the 3-meter diving competition, Monica Rice placed second with a score of 267.00, followed by Morgan Whittle in fourth with a score of 245.10. Amanda Habig (241.12) and Chelsea Chandler (179.92) finished fifth and seventh, respectively.

In the 1-meter diving competition, Rice earned a second-place finish with a score of 254.47 and Chandler finished fourth with a score of 218.10. Â Whittle (204.67) and Habig (174.00) finished sixth and seventh, respectively.

North Florida returns to the pool during the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Championships on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The Ospreys will look to improve on last season's sixth-place showing.
