UNF Softball Hosts Golden Knights

This will be the second meeting between the Ospreys (2-10) and the Golden Knights (4-5) this season after playing the Knights last weekend in the their invitational at the UCF Softball Complex.
In their last contest, UCF came into the game with momentum after beating previously undefeated
Even though the Ospreys cut UCF's lead to one in the fourth inning 4-3, the Knights ended up scoring two more runs with the help of a lead-off triple by leftfielder Morgan Bullard who later came into score her second run of the game.
The Knights' first baseman Marissa Menendez went 2-for-2 and second baseman Natalie Land both brought in two RBI to help beat the Ospreys 6-3.
Morgan Bullard leads the Knights with a .300 average and Hillary Barrow is first on the team in RBI (6) and has one home run on the season.
Junior Caroline Torre, who has been seeing the majority of her time in the two-hole, currently leads the Ospreys with eight RBI and is tied for third in the Atlantic Sun. Senior Devyn Findley is close behind with seven.
Sophomore and leadoff hitter Britanie Block is tied for sixth in the conference with 10 hits. She has had two multiple hit games and is among three other Ospreys with a two game hitting streak.
In 2009, UNF split against UCF with a win coming in the second game. Shaina Dent received her second win of the season. Torre and Airen Payne each drove in fifth inning runs to take a 6-2 advantage over UCF.
