
Ospreys Drop First Two in Orlando

In the first game, the Ospreys were led at the plate by sophomore Alyson Bailey who went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Her RBI came in the top of the third and broke a 1-1 tie to give UNF a 2-1 advantage. The Ospreys scored three runs on the night but allowed five unearned runs in the fourth inning.
UNF (1-8) committed two key errors in the fourth that kept the Trojan's (4-0) rally alive. A double steal that resulted in a run and a devastating two-run shot that cleared the left field fence allowed Troy to take the lead 4-2.
Trojans' pitcher Haley Hutchins (1-0) picked up her first victory with 4 1/3 innings of work and gave up three runs on four hits until Ashlyn Williams grabbed the save.
Sophomore Shaina Dent for the Ospreys went 4.2 innings and only gave up one earned run before she was relieved by senior Devyn Findley who finished the fifth and sixth innings.
In the second game, freshman Molly Grubb went 1-for3, recording her first two RBI of her career. The
UCF (3-3) came into its second game with momentum after beating previously undefeated
Even though the Ospreys cut UCF's lead to one in the fourth inning 4-3, the Knights ended up scoring two more runs with the help of a lead-off triple by leftfielder Morgan Bullard who later came into score her second run of the game.
