Ospreys to play four games in three days
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - After a classic battle on Wednesday against Michigan, the University of North Florida baseball team will hit the field again this weekend when it hosts the 2009 Kennel Club Classic at Harmon Stadium.
UNF will continue its clash with the Big Ten on Friday night when it takes on Ohio State at 7 p.m. OSU head coach Bob Todd was inducted into the 2009 ABCA Hall of Fame along with UNF head coach Dusty Rhodes. A pregame ceremony will take place to honor both inductees.
The Ospreys will continue the march on Saturday with a twinbill beginning at 11 a.m. against Connecticut. At 7 p.m., UNF will take on the Buckeyes again. UNF wraps up action at 3 p.m. on Sunday against George Mason.
The Kennel Club Classic will officially begin at 4 p.m. on Friday when Connecticut faces off against George Mason. At 3 p.m. on Saturday, OSU will take on George Mason. Other action includes Ohio State against Connecticut at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
On Wednesday night against No. 28 Michigan, UNF put up a furious rally, scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to cut the lead to 9-8. However, the Wolverines were able to shut down the Ospreys in the eighth and ninth to claim the win. The Ospreys had a season-high five doubles and got RBIs from seven different players.

Notables: UNF is scheduled to face three left-handed starting pitchers this weekend, which would make that seven out of nine games for the season the Ospreys have seen a lefty starter ... UNF is 50-28 all-time in the Kennel Club Classic, which began in 1995 and is in the 12th edition ... the Ospreys rotation for the weekend is RHP Phil Rorabaugh against Ohio State on Friday, LHP John Atteo against Connecticut on Saturday, RHP Ty Pryor against Ohio State on Saturday and RHP John Frawley against George Mason on Sunday ...
