North Florida defeated College of Charleston 227-68 and Georgia Southern 149-141
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida swimming and diving team improved to 3-0 in dual meets as they defeated both College of Charleston and Georgia Southern on Saturday, Oct. 24, in Charleston, S.C. The Ospreys defeated the Cougars 227-68, while edging the Eagles 149-141.
“It is always good to win on the road,” head coach Beth Harrell commented after the meet. “Georgia Southern was our toughest opponent of the day. They jumped out ahead of us early by about 25 points, but we battled back and were able to close it out. I am really proud of our girls and the way that they finished the meet strong.”
UNF won 10 of the 16 events of the meet to claim both victories. The Ospreys were led by junior Lyn Ann Nelson, sophomore Amanda Anderson, sophomore Taylor Crosby and freshman Julia Moomaw.
