Ospreys will try to move up in A-Sun standings
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida baseball team will dive back into its conference schedule with a three-game series this weekend against Lipscomb at Harmon Stadium.
UNF is currently on a two-game win streak, with both the wins coming against Presbyterian on Tuesday and Wednesday at home. The Ospreys exploded on offense, hitting .380 as a team along with a .633 slugging percentage while averaging 14 runs per game. Senior Chad Knight went 6-for-9 with four runs scored for the series.
Junior RHP Tyler Stohr racked up his third save of the season after closing out UNF's 12-10 win on Tuesday. Stohr has allowed just one hit this season in 4.2 innings of work while striking out six batters.
Lipscomb went 2-1 last weekend against cross-town rival Belmont in Nashville, Tenn., to jump into a six-way tie for second place in the A-Sun. After dropping game one to Belmont, the Bisons won the last two games by scores of 12-7 and 7-2.
The Ospreys won last season's series with Lipscomb 2-1 in Nashville. UNF ended the series with a 14-4 win, aided by a 13-run fourth inning, which set a team record for most runs scored in an inning.

UNF is hosting its first conference home series of the season ... the Ospreys are 4-2 against Lipscomb all-time ... the Ospreys are 4-0 at Harmon Stadium this season and are hitting .376 as a team, led by senior Chad Knight's .611 average ... all of senior Travis Martin's 11 RBIs have come at home ... junior closer Tyler Stohr has allowed just one hit this season while striking out six batters on his way to three saves ... Stohr now has nine career saves, tying him for seventh on the UNF Top-10 list along with Mickey Mickley ... junior Ty Pryor is the only Osprey starting pitcher to pick up a win this season; he did so in a 5-1 win over Florida Gulf Coast on March 1 ... three different UNF relievers have a win to their credit, led by sophomore Tucker Pryor's two wins.
