Lady Ospreys open 'Bama road swing

UNF to play at South Alabama and Troy this weekend
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida women's tennis team will continue with its season-opening road swing this week when it takes on a pair of high-powered Alabama foes.
Both South Alabama and Troy are members of the Sun Belt Conference and have been ranked nationally within the past year. South Alabama entered the 2008 season ranked 55th and has since risen to 53rd in the latest ITA Collegiate Rankings. Troy was ranked as high as 74th last season.
UNF played both squads last season - falling to Troy 5-2 at home on March 20 and losing to No. 52 South Alabama 5-1 in their season finale on April 14.

Who's Hot: Junior Ina Durcakova has enjoyed a solid start to the 2007-08 season for UNF, going 9-3 in singles in the fall and through the team's first two dual matches ... Senior Vanessa Sanchez is not far behind with an 8-4 mark, including four consecutive wins in singles ... in doubles, the tandem of Durcakova and Natalia Sanchez is 3-1, although that duo was not paired during the squad's first two dual matches.
UNF Notables: The Lady Ospreys will play five of their first six matches on the road to start the season ... UNF faces Hofstra in its home opener on Feb. 17 ... the tournament matchups have been set for the Wichita State Invitational in March, with the Lady Ospreys set to square off against Arkansas-Little Rock on March 14, Wichita State on March 15 and Boise State on March 16 ... the Lady Ospreys face both of the Atlantic Sun Conference's top two teams from last season at the UNF Complex, hosting ETSU on March 29 and Jacksonville on April 8.
