2023-24: XC - Opened season in top 20 during 3-mile at the Mountain Dew Invitational (17:53.8)...competed in the 6k race at the Gans Creek Invitational (23:37.8)...placed seventh overall in the SSC Preview 6k race (23:22.9)...went top 25 in the 5k for the ASUN XC Championship (18:04.3)...snuck into the top 100 in the 6k at the NCAA South Regional (20:49.8)...was the top Osprey runner for two of the five meets competed...Track (Indoor) - Placed seventh in indoor opener for the mile at the RADD Track & Field Invitational (4:58.53)...took home first overall in the mile with a lifetime best at the Celebration Pointe Classic (4:58.08)...finished ninth in the mile (5:02.60) and fifth as a part of DMR (12:02.46) at the ASUN Indoor Championship...Track (Outdoor) - Notched third overall in the outdoor opener for the 1500m at the Bob Hayes Invitational (4:35.76)...finished 14th in the 1500m at the Pepsi Florida Relays (4:37.18).

Transferred in from St. John's as a sophomore...recorded a personal-best time in the 1500 meters at the Big East Outdoor Track and Field Championships...attended Old Jericho HS, where she won multiple county championships in XC and track...named Newsday Runner of the Year and Athlete of the Week in 2021...All-county all four years in XC and track...team MVP as a junior...All-state in track as a junior and senior...All-Federation and Presidential Award for Nassau County as a junior for track.

Born on Oct. 24, 2004...daughter of Vinko and Maria Markovina...has two siblings, Paul (22) and Luke (21)...father, Vinko, ran XC and track at Fairleigh Dickinson and brother, Paul, also ran XC and track at Hofstra...plans to major in business management.
