Ravi Patel joined the University of North Florida men’s tennis staff as a volunteer coach in August 2015.

A native of London, England, Patel comes to UNF after competing for Drake for two years. Patel had a successful singles and doubles career for the Bulldogs, was nationally ranked by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and earned All-Missouri Valley Conference honors both years. Patel notched a 41-8 overall singles mark in his two years and was ranked No. 116 by the ITA heading into his senior season. As a junior, he earned a trip to the NCAA Doubles Championship and the ITA/UTSA National Indoor Championships with teammate Robin Goodman. Patel and Goodman were ranked as high as No. 8 by the ITA, achieving that mark in the first poll heading into the spring season.

Patel began his collegiate career at USF and helped the Bulls to the BIG EAST Tournament in his two seasons there.

In high school, Patel was the No. 4 ranked overall under-18 men’s tennis player in the United Kingdom. He reached the National Maters Final in 2011.

Patel graduated from Drake in May 2015 with a degree in sociology.
