High School: Graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville in 2006 ... pitched two varsity seasons for head coaches Bob West and Tommy Edwards ... team advanced to the regional semifinals his junior season before finishing 27-4 and advancing to the Class 4A state finals his senior year ... team lost in the finals to Monginor Pace High School to finish as state runner-up ... former high school teammates T.J. Thompson, Michael Gropper and Ryan McCoy are now teammates at UNF ... is among six Bishop Kenny players from the 2006 squad to move on to Division I programs ... was 8-0 with a 0.51 ERA as a junior in 12 games, seven of which were starts ... was voted as team[apos]s best pitcher following his junior year ... pitched 5.2 innings, allowing just one hit against Nease during the playoffs his junior season, which came only two days after he had pitched six innings in a previous outing.
