High School: Graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville in 2006 ... played three varsity seasons at Bishop Kenny for head coaches Bob West and Tommy Edwards ... played third base and middle infield for the Crusaders in addition to serving as the team[apos]s closer as a senior ... team advanced to the regional semifinals his sophomore and junior seasons before finishing 27-4 and advancing to the Class 4A state finals his senior year ... team lost in the finals to Monsignor Pace High School to finish as state runner-up ... former high school teammates T.J. Thompson and Michael Gropper are now teammates at UNF ... is among six Bishop Kenny players from the 2006 squad to move on to Division I programs ... was an honor student at Bishop Kenny, graduating with a 3.7 grade point average ... batted .375 as a senior with a home run and 25 RBIs while playing at third base ... hit .350 as a junior with 15 RBIs while playing exclusively at third ... also tallied four saves with 14 strikeouts in 6.3 innings as the team[apos]s closer during his senior year.
