Fell just short of winning the Florida junior college triple crown in 2003 but he was named the North Florida CC MVP ... batted .407 (64-of-157) with 18 homers and 61 RBIs as a sophomore ... also had 18 doubles, one triple, eight stolen bases and an .878 slugging percentage ... earned all-state first-team junior college honors and also was a Panhandle Conference first-team selection ... as a freshman at the school, he was a second-team All-Panhandle Conference selection.
High School: Graduated from Seminole High School where he played for head coach Scott Miller ... at Seminole he was part of a Baseball America National Championship and Florida 5A state championship team in 2001 ... that season as a senior he batted .360 (36-of-100) with 12 doubles, one triple, two homers and 26 RBIs ... as a junior he batted .322 with (28-of-87) with nine doubles, two triples, two homers and 31 RBIs ... as a sophomore he was the most improved player and was named to the Steve Georgiadis All-Tournament team ... that season he batted .384 (33-of-86) with eight doubles, four homers and 22 RBIs ... in his four-year high school career he had eight homers and 79 RBIs and earned four varsity letters ... was an honor roll student
