JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida fell in its series opener to West Georgia, 6-4, on Friday, April 24, at UNF Softball Complex.

West Georgia jumped out to an early 3-0 lead to start the contest.

Back-to-back doubles from sophomore outfielder Kennedy McQuillan and sophomore outfielder Grace Shaw to begin the second inning put the Ospreys on the scoreboard. A sacrifice fly from graduate student Hallie Langford would bring in the second run of the inning and make the score 3-2.

Shaw would tack on her second RBI of the day with a single to right field to tie the game in the third inning, but West Georgia would retake the lead with a run of their own in the fourth inning.

However, the Ospreys responded with a run of their own in the bottom half of the frame courtesy of an RBI single from senior infielder Ayden Allen to even the score at 4-4.

However, the Wolves would retake the lead for the final time plating two runs with an RBI single in the fifth.
