JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -Â North Florida softball dropped the final game of the River City Rumble to Jacksonville, 7-5, at UNF Softball Complex on Saturday evening.

Jacksonville jumped out to an early lead tacking on two runs in the first inning. UNF answered right away in the bottom half, as graduate outfielder Hallie Langford and junior utility player Addie Keef each singled and later scored on sacrifice flies to tie the game at 2-2.

After a leadoff double from Jacksonville in the third, junior right-handed pitcher Cameron Ponich would force a pair of popouts and a swinging strikeout to leave a runner stranded and keep the game tied.
Â
Junior infielder Bella Cimino put the Ospreys in front for the first time with a no-doubt solo home run to left field in the fifth inning. For Cimino, it marked her team-high seventh home run of the season.Â
Â
However, the Dolphins would respond with a solo home run of their own to tie the score at 3-3 in the sixth inning.

Jacksonville would retake the lead for the final time in the seventh inning with a pair of two-run home runs.
Â
The Ospreys would tack on two runs in the bottom of the seventh to reach the eventual final.
