JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Baseball earned a walk-off victory in Game 1 of its series against FGCU, 5-4, at Harmon Stadium on Friday.

The Eagles scored two runs in the sixth inning and two in the seventh frame. However, North Florida fought back to plate five unanswered runs to win the game in its last two at bats.

Sophomore utility player Seth Alford belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to cut North Florida's deficit to just one run.

Alford came up again in the ninth frame and was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to tie the game at four apiece. Redshirt sophomore outfielder Carter White worked a bases-loaded walk later in the frame to secure the walk-off win.
