JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Baseball won its second straight series in Atlantic Sun Conference play with a win over FGCU, 7-6, at Harmon Stadium on Saturday.

With the win, North Florida improves to 4-1 in ASUN play and moves into first place in the conference's Graphite Division. It marked the second come-from-behind victory for UNF over FGCU in as many games this series.

Senior catcher Santiago Ordonez opened the scoring with an RBI double to left-center field to give North Florida a 1-0 lead in the second inning.

Florida Gulf Coast tied the score at one in the top of the third frame. Redshirt junior outfielder Gialdri Gomez put North Florida ahead, 2-1, in the bottom-half of the third inning with an RBI single to right field.

The Eagles took their largest lead of the game with a 6-2 advantage in the top of the fifth frame.

Freshman infielder Jonathan Acosta cut North Florida's deficit to 6-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning with his first collegiate home run. Just three at bats later, redshirt junior utility player Jackson Toberman brought the Ospreys within one run of FGCU with a two-run homer to left field.

Gomez delivered a clutch at bat in the bottom of the seventh inning with a go-ahead two-run home run that brought the score to its eventual final margin.

Senior right-handed pitcher Brandon Adams entered in relief for the top of the ninth and notched the save.

Gomez finished the game 2-4 with three RBI and one run. Junior infielder Mitchell Collins and redshirt sophomore outfielder Sean Benjamin also posted multi-hit performances.
