Ospreys Executes Shutout Sweep Against UMass

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball executed a pair of shutouts in its doubleheader sweep against UMass to open the River City Leadoff on Friday evening at UNF Softball Complex.
The Ospreys opened their home tournament with a five-inning victory, 8-0, for the second time this season. The following game was dominated by the UNF pitching staff once again with another shutout, 6-0, to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Macie Hunolt was the star in the first game of the doubleheader with four strikeouts in five innings pitched with only three hits and no runs allowed. Cameron Ponich and Kadyn Camper combined for only one hit allowed to the Minutewomen in the second game of the evening.
Four Ospreys recorded two-hit performances in the first doubleheader game with Hallie Langford, Grace Shaw, Ayden Allen and Kelsey Vogel each reaching that mark. Addie Keef went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate in the second doubleheader game to become the 26th Osprey in D-I program history to reach the top single-game mark of four hits.
