Women's Soccer Drops Contest to Gators

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – North Florida women's soccer (1-2-1) fell to Florida (2-1-0), 5-0, on the road at Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Sunday.

The contest was originally set for a 7 p.m. start, but due to lightning in the area, the match was delayed to a 7:15 p.m. start.


Graduate goalkeeper Sofia Miliancano grabbed two saves in the opening ten minutes of play and ended action with three saves.


Senior midfielder Chloe Lynch secured her second shot on goal of the season in the 55th minute, while redshirt junior forward Allie Fekany notched her first shot on goal of the season during the 65th minute. Sophomore midfielder Mogan Guillemette notched her first collegiate shot during the 86th minute of play.

Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Chrissa Avery secured her first collegiate save during the 80th minute of action and secured her second save during the 81st minute. After redshirting last season at South Florida, redshirt freshman goalkeeper Audrey Johnson made her first collegiate appearance during the second half of play.

North Florida will travel to face Georgia at the Turner Soccer Complex with kick-off set for 6:30 p.m., in Athens, Ga.
