JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Women's Soccer took down Kennesaw State, 3-2, at Corporate Traffic Logistics Field at Hodges Stadium in its non-conference finale on Thursday night.

Kennesaw State jumped out to an early lead with a goal in the fifth minute, but North Florida quickly responded with a goal to level the match. Junior midfielder Morgan Guillemette found the back of the net in the ninth minute, her second goal of the season, off a double assist from junior forward Allison Souers and sophomore defender Braelyn McMillan.

The match would remain even headed into the halftime break. North Florida posted a 7-4 advantage in shots and a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks at the half.

North Florida secured its lead in the 52nd minute when junior midfielder Taylor Tamares netted her first collegiate goal off assists from Souers and Horth.

Junior midfielder Sarah Frazer extended the lead with her first goal of the season and second career goal in the 64th minute to make it 3-1.

Kennesaw State added on a goal in the 90th minute to reach the eventual final.

North Florida finished the match with a 15-12 advantage in shots and a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal.

Overall, 19 Ospreys logged action with fifth year goalkeeper Sofia Miliancano, sophomore defender Julia Cosgrove, Tamares, senior defender Zoe Looker and Frazer each playing the full 90 minutes.

North Florida opens ASUN Conference action at home against Bellarmine on Thursday, Sept. 24. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
