GREENWOOD, Ind. - Senior Smilla Kolbe completes her illustrious collegiate career receiving CSC First Team Academic All-American honors, as announced by the national organization on Tuesday, Jul. 14.

Kolbe becomes the first North Florida track and field athlete in Division I history, as well as the first female Osprey all-time, to garner the First Team national academic distinction. She joins Aaron Cuny from the 2001 season as the only UNF track and field / cross country athletes all-time to be awarded CoSIDA/CSC First Team Academic All-America.

This makes back-to-back seasons that Kolbe has made the CSC All-America squad after earning Third Team honors during the 2023-24 season. Recent UNF Hall of Fame inductee Eden Meyer is the only other female Osprey to be named CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-America in consecutive seasons.

She is one of seven student-athletes on the CSC Academic All-America First Team to be on one of last year's three academic teams. The senior is also one of three athletes in the first team from a Non-Power institution, as well as one of eight seniors and the only psychology major.

The Hanover, Germany, native notched five All-ASUN finishes across cross country, indoor track and outdoor track, including four First Team selections. She swept the 800m for both indoor and outdoor seasons, while adding on a First Team recognition during cross country season in only her third-ever race.

On top of her First Team All-American selections for both indoor and outdoor 800m races, she took home the ASUN's Most Outstanding Women's Outdoor Track Performer of the Year. Academically, she earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in psychology with a trio of ASUN All-Academic Team selections this season, including ASUN Indoor Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
