Women's Tennis Falters To Stetson

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis fell for the first time in conference play this season in its regular season home finale against Stetson on Sunday afternoon at UNF Tennis Complex.
Down a court early in doubles, the Ospreys fought hard on the two remaining courts with each holding a 6-5 score. Aryana Bartlett and Gabby Goyins were closing in on another doubles victory, but court two fell before the match finished for the Hatters to take the point.
Jasmin Makela got things started for UNF in singles play with a clean win in straight sets on the sixth court. Gabby Goyins earned a win on court five as well, but it wasn't enough to fend off Stetson in the end.Â
North Florida makes one last road trip to cap off the regular season with matches against Lipscomb and North Alabama from Apr. 11-13.
