No. 17 Beach Volleyball Competes At Lone Star Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 17 North Florida beach volleyball closes out its regular season when it travels to compete at Texas' Lone Star Invitational on Friday-Saturday, April 18-19, at Wright-Whitaker Sports Complex in Austin, Texas.

The Ospreys went undefeated in its North Florida Invite last weekend to conclude its home schedule with a 14-0 record that included 11 sweeps.

North Florida opens action Friday with Southern Miss at 8 a.m. and Texas A&M-CC at 2 p.m. North Florida then returns to the sand Saturday to battle two top-10 opponents in No. 6 Cal Poly at 8 a.m. and No. 7 Texas at 12 p.m.

North Florida held strong at No. 17 in the 2025 AVCA Collegiate Beach Coaches Top 20 Week Eight Poll on Tuesday. The Ospreys have ranked in every edition of the poll this season for the first time in program history.

Senior Taylor Pierce nears 75 career wins with 74 currently – 39 of which came at North Florida. The top tandem of junior Presley Murray and Mackenzie Murphy boasts a 20-7 record at the top line and has earned three-ranked wins this season against No. 3 Loyola Marymount, No. 14 FIU and No. 20 Stetson.

Following the weekend, North Florida will aim to defend its conference title at the 2025 ASUN Championships on Thursday-Saturday, April 24-26, in Huntsville, Ala.
