Beach Volleyball Adds Assistant Coach Makai Lipson

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida Beach Volleyball Head Coach Delaney Rose announced the addition of Assistant Coach Makai Lipson on Wednesday.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Makai Lipson to our staff," Rose said. "He brings a lot of enthusiasm and passion to his work, in addition to a strong commitment to student-athlete development. His knowledge and perspective will add a lot of value to our program, and I'm excited to see the impact he will make."
He most recently served as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the Men's Volleyball program at Concordia University Irvine, his alma mater, in 2025-26. Lipson was a four-year student-athlete and appeared in 68 matches with the Golden Eagles.
He earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sport Management and a Master's degree in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
He served as a Coach at Spiker Beach Volleyball, where he coached athletes with four-time Olympian Jake Gibb. He helped lead Spiker Black to gold at the 2025-26 BVCA Orange County Fall, 2025-26 BVCA Orange County Winter and 2025-26 BVCA 300 Open Invitational. He coached Spiker Black to silver at the 2025 BVCA Club V Club National Championships. In addition, he also helped guide the U14 team to a 2025 BVCA Individual Pairs National Championship.
He served as a Coach at the California Volleyball Club from 2021-26 and worked with the U16, U17 and U18 teams. He was elevated to the U16 Head Coach in 2024-25. Lipson also worked as a Coach at Pismo Beach Volleyball Club with the U12 through U14 boy's programs and the U16 girl's program.
