JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball has officially revealed its full 55-game slate for the 2026 season this spring, as announced by Head Coach Jeff Conrad on Thursday afternoon.
The Ospreys' schedule is highlighted with 35 home games across their 55 total games, as well as 47 games scheduled in the Sunshine State. Some of the key non-conference opponents for the Ospreys will be five games against four Power Four opponents, which include Auburn, Florida, Florida State and UCF.
The two marquee home games against Power Four opponents at UNF Softball Complex will be Auburn on opening day of the season set for Thursday, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m., followed with an expected ranked matchup with Florida on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. The first of two series against Jacksonville in the River City Rumble will be hosted at UNF from Mar. 19-21 with each game's first pitch set for 7 p.m.
UNF will also co-host four non-conference tournaments alongside Jacksonville with the River City Leadoff, UNF-JU Invitational, UNF-JU Classic and Spring Break Challenge spanning over the first month of play. UNF will also make another historic trip out to the West Coast to compete in the Purple Classic hosted by Grand Canyon from Feb. 20-22.
The 24-game ASUN schedule was released earlier this fall by the conference, as they will compete in divisional play for the second straight year. It will feature four home and four road weekend series against intra-divisional opponents, which features Jacksonville, Stetson, Queens, FGCU and West Georgia.
"We're pleased with the way this schedule was able to come together. Our players came here to compete for championships and to play a tough schedule. We have the chance to play once again on opening night against an SEC opponent and to have it at home this year, as well as making our second trip out to Arizona in three years. It will highlight the many tests on this schedule that will prepare us for our run at back-to back ASUN titles."
