Ospreys Mashed Five Home Runs against Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Five home runs from four different players helped North Florida softball (28-14, 12-4 ASUN) take the first of three games this weekend against Jacksonville (20-20, 10-6 ASUN) on Friday afternoon.
The Ospreys took the lead early and never looked back, as Allison Benning, Abi Annett, Logan Jackson and Chloe Culp all went yard to start the River City Rumble. Benning had two homers in the third and sixth innings, while Abi Annett went a perfect 3-for-3 only being a triple short of the cycle.
Halle Arends also had a great showing in the circle with four frames pitched and only one hit allowed to pick up her 10th win of the season. Ashley Connor, Cameron Ponich and Kylah Berry also saw time in the series opener to finish out the seven-run victory across town.
