JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball continues its road stint with six matches on the West Coast starting on Friday March 15 at the University of Stanford where the Ospreys take on Texas A&M-CC and No. 3 Stanford.

UNF then heads down to Cal Poly for a four-match tournament against UC Davis, No. 9 Cal Poly, University of the Pacific and Santa Clara, March 16-17.

Texas A&M-CC: The Islanders started the season with a 3-1 outing at the Cowgirls Beach Bash with wins over Nicholls, McNeese, and Tarleton State, falling to No. 20 Cal Poly … Texas A&M-CC then went 4-1 at the Tiger Beach Challenge, beating the likes of Nebraska, Central Arkansas, Southern Miss and Tulane, while losing to LSU … The Islanders saw three more wins at the Horned Frog Challenge against Stephen F. Austin, UAB and UC Davis to begin the campaign 10-3.
No. 3 Stanford: The Cardinal had a strong start to the season in Hawaii, knocking off four ranked opponents in No. 5 Loyola Marymount, No. 1 USC, No. 9 Hawaii and No. 2 UCLA before losing in a rematch to the Bruins … in the Battle of the Bay, Stanford recorded wins over No. 6 TCU, UC Davis and San Jose State … the Cardinal most recently took part in the Pac-12 South Beach Invitational, bagging wins over No. 1 UCLA, No. 7 California and Oregon to start the season 10-2.
UC Davis: The Mustangs opened the season 6-6, securing two wins against both University of the Pacific and the University of Utah … UC Davis also recorded wins against San Jose State and UAB … the Mustangs have fell in matches against weekend opponents Stanford and Texas A&M-CC.
No. 9 Cal Poly: The Mustangs kicked the season off with four-straight wins against Tarleton State, Nicholls, Texas A&M-CC, and McNeese … Cal Poly’s two losses came against No. 1 UCLA and No. 3 USC … the Mustangs turned things around with wins over No. 8 California, No. 14 Grand Canyon, Santa Clara, No. 13 FIU, No. 18 Stetson and Southern Miss, boasting a 10-2 record heading into the weekend.
