
T&F Indoor Preview: at ASUN Indoor Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida track and field will conclude the indoor season with a final trip to Gainesville for the 2024 ASUN Indoor Championships. The dynamic squad will make their first strides on Friday, Feb. 23, at the Alachua Sports Complex with their first event starting at 3 p.m.
Men
Women
"Both squads have worked hard to get to this point in the year. We have had some great performances this year and look to continue the success at the championships. Almost everyone is healthy and we are ready to line up and compete. There will be some great events. It is current a very strong track conference and we are ready for the challenge."

Ospreys will conclude its indoor season after the ASUN Indoor Championship this weekend and will have just under a month to focus on their outdoor opener as hosts of the Bob Hayes Invitational from Mar. 15-16 on Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.

Men
- Pedroza overturned his own mark, setting a new record of 1:49.93 in the 800m.
- Camden Springer out-sprinted every contender, earning a remarkable first-place finish in the men's 400-meter dash.
- Springer smashed a new record in the 400m, overturning a five-year record
- Rey Hernandez clinched a fourth-place title in the men's 200m. Hernandez hopped across the line in 22.19.
- Hernandez notched a top-five mark in the 60-meter hurdles finals and qualified for a consecutive meet.
- Christian Ruocco secured a top-two placement in the men's mile, punching the clock in at 4:18.97.
- Paul Lespasio took the third-place rank in the men's mile, and William Sinclair rounded out the group in fifth.
Women
- Isa Leen led the flock in first for the women's 3000m.
- Nicole Shepherd secured a second-place placement in the women's high jump after leaping 1.65m.
- Hannah Martin notched a first-place finish in the women's 1-mile run. Martin clinched the race in 5:00.64.
- Erica Fisher snatched a second-place title in the women's 1-mile run. Fisher finished in 5:00.93.
- Jada Williams went top five in the women's mile, notching the race in 5:04.17.
- Williams posted a top-three mark in the women's 800m, and Annika Buser sprinted shortly behind with a fourth-place performance.
- Ella Chandler ousted several contenders with her top-three performance in the women's 400-meter dash.
- Celine D'Anna & Melissa Epting's fierce stride earned them both top-10 placements in the 400m dash.
- Camryn Batt ranked in the top 15 overall in the women's 200-meter dash.
- Rafaela Marchini posted a top-15 performance in the women's long jump.
