ATLANTA, Ga. - North Florida men's tennis (1-5) wins another doubles point, but fall, 4-3, in a close match to Georgia State (5-4) on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys started business as usual by picking up the doubles point in their match against the Panthers. This was done by the efforts of the ones and twos doubles pairing against the Panthers.
The ones pair of
Jonas Hartenstein and
Rodrigo Crespo carried out as expected by winning their doubles match, 6-4. The second pair of
Breno Marques and
Andreas Scott bested their opponent in convincing 6-1 fashion.
UNF picked up points from
Jonas Hartenstein and
PJ Kotan in singles play. Hartenstein defeated his opponent in the ones spot in three sets 6-3, 2-6, 6-3, while Kotan won his second straight match, defeating Edward Tymes in straight sets 6-2, 7-6 (8-6).
The Ospreys welcome in Radford next week, as they head back home to take on the Highlanders Saturday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m., at UNF Tennis Complex.
