Johnson Joins Ospreys from USF
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida head women's soccer coach Eric Faulconer announces the addition of South Florida transfer Audrey Johnson, who will join the Ospreys' roster for the 2025 spring season.
Johnson returns to the First Coast after spending her freshman campaign at the University of South Florida. She will be a redshirt-freshman for the 2025 season and will have four years of eligibility remaining.
"We have had a great number of local area student-athletes on our roster, but Audrey is the first goalkeeper from the area to join our program," stated Faulconer. The greater Jacksonville area has been a hotbed of goalkeeping talent and Audrey is definitely one of the best to come out of the area. She has strong hands, excellent foot skills and is a vocal leader of her backline. We are looking forward to her arrival on campus in January and excited that she is joining our UNF family."
The goalkeeper was a two-time state high school champion at Ponte Vedra High School and finished her club soccer career at Florida Elite. While at Ponte Vedra, she was named to the Florida Times Union All-First Coast Team, the All-St. Johns County team and the News 4 JAX All-Area team.Â
She was a TopDrawer Soccer 3-star prospect and an ECNL All Southeast Conference Selection in 2022 and 2023. She was a member of the ODP South Region team and was selected for the 2023 ODP National Select Team.
