Jonas Hartenstein Starts Spring Season 2-0 in Singles Play

ORLANDO, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis picked up the win in doubles play, but only had one point scored in singles competition, as they fell 5-2 in its second consecutive road match in as many days on Saturday afternoon.

Jonas Hartenstein and Rodrigo Crespo won on court one in a thrilling 7-6 battle after tiebreak. Andreas Scott and Breno Marques secured the point for the Ospreys on court three by winning their match, 6-2.

Hartenstein would continue his hot start by winning in straight sets on court one (6-2, 6-3). Rodrigo Crespo was able to win a set of his own, it was not enough to defeat his Knight opponent. The Ospreys efforts fell just short, as they saw defeat in a score of 5-2.

The Ospreys will return home to Jacksonville, Fla., to face off against Mercer on Friday, Feb. 4, at 12 p.m., at UNF Tennis Complex.
