One Kashima Scores 2-Under 70 to Jump Into Top Five

GREENVILLE, S.C. - North Florida women's golf starts its weekend near the top of the leaderboard with share of fourth through the first round of the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman Friday afternoon.

One Kashima once again led the Ospreys in the opening round of a tournament with four birdies to score 2-under 70, which is her best 18-hole score to date as a true freshman. She sits inside the top five of the leaderboard, followed by Eisenbeiss who also had a great day tied for 18th at even-par.

ROUND REFLECTIONS

Kashima gets to another hot start in the opening round of her second career tournament sharing fifth overall at 2-under 70.
She cashed in on par fives carding 2-under on those holes to rank top eight in the field.
Eisenbeiss also played well early with three birdies over the first six holes to notch even-par 72 to sit inside the top 20.
Casilda Allendesalazar finished right outside the top 25 after a back and fourth day that saw four birdies to turn in 1-over 73.
The top three players for the Ospreys all had four birdies on the day to share the team lead.
Jessie Cai was right behind the mark with three birdies for 3-over 75, while Wyndom Burnett also shares the score to be tied for 45th overall.
Burnett currently leads the team in pars with 14 total as only one of five ladies to hit that mark on Friday.
Kaitlynn Washburn also played as an individual unattached to the team with a 9-over 81 first round score.
The Ospreys are one of three teams to have three players in the top 26, as well as five players in the top 45 on the player's leaderboard.
UNF ranks second as a team in birdies with 16 total, while also putting up 55 total pars on the first day.
They are also third in the field for par-three (even-par), par-four (7-over) and par-five (2-under) scoring averages.
