ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Junior Brianna Castaldi and redshirt junior Kaitlyn Schroeder carded top-20 placements for North Florida Women's Golf to open the Coach Mo Classic at St. Johns Golf and Country Club on Monday.

Castaldi stands in 11th place after she totaled five birdies and an eagle to post the Ospreys' top 36-hole score at 2-over 146. Castaldi notched an even-par 72 in Round 1 to propel her to the top placement. Schroeder carded five birdies and a 4-over 148 to sit in 17th place on the individual leaderboard.

North Florida stands seventh out of 16 teams on the leaderboard.

In addition to Castaldi and Schroeder, junior Mohea Mansbendel and sophomore Braydn Smith earn spots in the top-50. Competing as individuals, freshman duo Ava Cottis and Ines Izuzquiza Ruiz de Arana also place in the top-50. Cottis is tied for third among all golfers with a 4.5 average and 4-under on Par 5 holes.
