Four All-Americans, UNF Places Fourth of 18 Programs
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - UNF cheerleading put forth an outstanding showing at the National Cheerleaders Association College Camp from July 29-31, earning a gold bid to the NCA Nationals set for the spring of 2024 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Ospreys were paced by four all-american honorees including Kennedy Slaughter, Destiny Fratianni, Kendall Bryan and Shelby Hudson. All told, North Florida finished fourth among 18 programs, outperforming conference rivals including Jacksonville and Kennesaw State.
UNF's gold bid was in part earned by superior marks in the game day and crowd segments along with the rally routine, evaluated based on performance and skill.Â
The 28th NCA competition will be held April 8-14 at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.
