Ospreys Earn Three All-American Selections, Best All-Around Out Of 17 Programs
ORLANDO, Fla. - North Florida cheerleading repeated its stellar showing at the National Cheerleaders Association College Camp from July 27-29, that earned them a gold bid in the Large Co-ed Open Division to the NCA Nationals set for April 2025 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Ospreys were paced by three All-American athletes with Kennedy Slaughter, Destiny Fratianni and Kendall Bryan picking up such honors. The Top Gun Champions All-Girl Stunt Division consisted of Fratianni joining Camilla Holmes, Abril Nolasco and Tabitha Boutilier.
All told, UNF finished first among 17 programs as the best all-around team and won the Most Collegiate Award with a total of 107 points with Xavier (LA), the reigning NAIA national champions, trailing in second place with 82 points.
The team outperformed conference rival, Jacksonville, and reigning runner-up, Kennesaw State, to place first in Large Coed Open Rally Routine and Large Coed Open 45-Sec Crowd Segment, as well as second in Game Day Run-off.
UNF's gold bid was in part based on final point tabulations from competitions and evaluations throughout the camp, as well as superior marks in the game day and crowd segments along with the rally routine, evaluated based on performance and skill.
The 29th NCA College Nationals competition will be held April 9-13 at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.
