Cheerleading Heads to '24 NCA Nationals

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The UNF cheerleading team is headed to Daytona Beach, Fla., to compete at the National Cheerleaders Association's College Nationals held Apr. 11-12. The National Competition will host more than 400 teams from various universities across the country and internationally.

Osprey cheerleading was awarded a Gold Bid to NCA College Nationals after attending the NCA camp in Daytona Beach this past July. Teams qualified for the national competition at NCA College Camp or by video qualification.

UNF cheerleading will be competing as Advanced Small Coed Division I against 12 opponents, including conference rivals Central Arkansas and Kennesaw State. This will be the second consecutive season that Osprey cheerleading has made an appearance at the nationals.

The Ospreys perform at 11:56 a.m. on Thursday, Apr. 11, at the Daytona Beach Bandshell. Finals will be held the following day on Friday, Apr. 12.

Additionally, UNF will have their first-ever qualifying individual group stunt competing after qualifying in the top 20. Destiny Fratianni, Camilla Holmes, Abril Nolasco and Molly McDevitt are set to compete on Saturday, Apr. 13, at 2:52 p.m.
