JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's golf resumes its spring season after a month break to compete in the General Hackler Championship hosted by Coastal Carolina from Mar. 13-14 at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club.
This will be one of two tournaments played over the next seven days, as the Ospreys will play at both Coastal Carolina and Georgia Southern over spring break.

TOURNAMENT NOTEBOOK
- This will be the ninth-consecutive time visiting Coastal Carolina for the General Hackler Championship.
- UNF has won the meet twice with the first being its debut year at the event and their most recent in 2019.
- Shared sixth overall during last season's meet with Davis Lee leading the pack among the top 10 individuals.
- Lee joins Robbie Higgins, Lance Yates and Cooper Smith as returning players to Coastal Carolina.
- UNF has placed inside top four for first three tournaments of spring, including a pair of runner-up finishes.
- Second par-72 course of the spring and first since The Hayt from Feb. 5-6.
- UNF will have a lineup of a senior, a redshirt junior, a junior and two redshirt sophomores.
- The tournament field consists of 14 teams with eight teams among Golfstat's top 50.
- All teams are ranked in the top 90 teams outside of East Carolina, which also features No. 6 Auburn as the highest-ranked team.
- Also features six Power Five teams and one ASUN opponent, Liberty.
- The event will start on Monday, Mar. 13, and will conclude the evening of Tuesday, Mar. 14.
- Two rounds of 36 holes total will be played on the first day, followed by one round of 18 holes on the final day of play.
- North Florida will be paired with ETSU, Liberty and Virginia from the 10th and 11th holes at 9 a.m.
FROM THE 19TH HOLE
- Robbie Higgins is coming off three straight top-10 placements to start the spring season with the most recent being tied for sixth at the Gator Invitational. He leads the team with 15 rounds under par and will be searching for his sixth top-10 finish of the 2022-23 season.
- Davis Lee placed with a share of 11th in The Hayt, but fell outside the top 50 just days later at the Gator Invitational. He looks to get back on track with a month of preparation, as he and Higgins will be playing their ninth tournaments of the season.
- Lance Yates will make his spring debut as a part of the team score this week at Coastal Carolina. The redshirt-junior played as an unattached individual at The Hayt and has one top-25 finish on the year.
- Cooper Smith will be playing his fourth spring tournament of the season after placing in the top 50 twice over the past three meets. He will try to add another top-25 placement to go along with his 72.56 scoring average.
- Jason Duff played in the first two meets of the spring as an individual and will also be making his team debut on the season. In those two meets, he has a scoring average of 73.50 with one round under par.
- Justin Ross will also be traveling to play in the General Hackler Invitational as an unattached individual. He had a stellar debut being tied for eighth at The Hayt followed by his debut with the team's score at Florida.
