JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - No. 33 North Florida men's golf looks to complete another historic season on a strong note in the NCAA Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club from May 27-June 1 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
This will be their sixth appearance under head coach Scott Schroeder at the NCAA Division I Championship, as well as their third appearance since 2018. The Ospreys go into this tournament ranked No. 33 in the nation, as well as the 25th seed for the tournament that features all 30 teams in the top 50 of Golfstat's men's collegiate rankings.
The NCAA Championship will start on Friday, May 27 with stroke play and will continue through Monday, May 30, to crown a 72-hole individual champion. Only the top 15 teams and nine non-qualifying individuals advance to the final round of stroke play, followed by the top eight teams advancing to match play.
The top eight teams will play against each other in a tournament-styled bracket until a champion is crowned on Wednesday, June 1. The final round of stroke play on Monday will be aired on the Golf Channel, as well as the entirety of the match play format from May 30-June 1.
UNF made it to the Scottsdale by way of placing within the top five of its regional tournament at New Haven. They shared third with No. 8 Texas Tech by having Nick Gabrelcik lead the way to his seventh top-five finish of the season, as well as being one of two teams in the regional to have all five players ranked among the top 31 individuals.
- This will be UNF's seventh overall appearance in the NCAA Championship, as well as their sixth under head coach Scott Schroeder and third in four seasons.

- Gabrelcik scored his third straight tournament under par at 7-under 203 in the NCAA New Haven Regional to help advance North Florida to the NCAA Championship. The two-time ASUN Golfer of the Year has also scored in the 60s in seven of his past nine 18-hole rounds, as well as ranked in the top five four of the last five tournaments, including two medalist crown titles.
- Robbie Higgins has stepped up for the Ospreys this season with five top-10 finishes, including three top-three finishes in three of his last five tournaments played. The first-team All-ASUN selection joins Gabrelcik scoring under par in seven of his last nine 18-hole rounds and has his sights set on another dominant showing this weekend.
- Davis Lee was the only golfer on the team to score at par or better in all three rounds of the New Haven Regional with a score of 2-under 208 place inside the top 15 individuals. Lee, as well as Gabrelcik, are the only UNF players to play in all 12 tournaments so far this year, as he has been the steady hand for the Ospreys this year.
- Cody Carroll brings experience to the table as the only four-year veteran for UNF this year. The former ASUN Freshman of the Year has been playing his best golf as of recent with his only two top-25 finishes coming in the past two tournaments, including a personal-best 54-hole score in the New Haven Regional at even-par 210.
- Mancheno will make a third appearance at an NCAA Championship in his career, with this being his first time playing as an Osprey. The former medalist crown champion from 2018 looks to have another successful tournament after reaching his career best 18-hole (5-under 65) and 54-hole score (2-over 212) since joining UNF at the New Haven Regional.
- Jason Duff will also travel to Scottsdale as the alternate player this weekend if any of the five Ospreys were to be taken out. The ASUN Freshman of the Year has been a regular player on the team this year and would not miss a beat if put into action.
