FIRST PITCH - Crosstown Rival JU Comes to Harmon Stadium - University of North Florida Athletics

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The River City Rumble comes to Harmon Stadium Friday-Sunday as North Florida baseball hosts the Dolphins in an important three-game set between ASUN East Division foes.

All three games will air on ESPN+. The series is sponsored by Ascension St. Vincent's Performance Orthopedics and Spine.

UNF Scores 13 on a Score of Hits
UNF has unloaded for 14 double-digit hit games in 30 games played this season ... the Ospreys' last such performance was in Tuesday's game at USF when UNF pounded out a season-best 20 hits, scoring 13 runs to defeat USF, 13-10 ... the 20-hit total was UNF's most since reaching that total March 24, 2019 in a 14-6 win against FGCU ... Aidan Sweatt and Brock Edge launched back-to-back home runs in that game ... Sweatt has two career home runs, both of which have come against USF this season.

UNF has 297 hits in 30 games, reaching nearly 10 hits on average per contest ... that total is good for second in the ASUN to just FGCU ... UNF's total is 31st in the nation ... Due to weather the Dolphins were unable to play their midweek game slated against Florida State.
The last time JU took the field it completed a series victory against Liberty, winning two of three against the Flames at Jacksonville.
JU won the 2021 ASUN Championship, earning the league's automatic bid to the tournament where the Dolphins were placed in the Columbia, S.C., Regional.
Righty Mason Adams was the winning pitcher in the ASUN Championship game a year ago. This year he is the team's ace, pacing the squad with an impressive 63 strikeouts. He is 4-0 with a 3.37 ERA in seven starts.
JU's offense doesn't flex a lot of power, posting just 50 extra-base hits all year, but the Dolphins do push the envelope on the bases, stealing 48 bags.
Lefty Christian Coipel is the big power threat in the lineup, having hit six long balls while driving in 30.
