JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF baseball concludes the regular season with game number seven on the year against Jacksonville and Stetson respectively.
The Ospreys go to JU Friday before hosting Stetson Sunday for Senior Day.Â
The initial schedule for this week had North Florida slated to go to Nashville two games against North Alabama and one contest against Lipscomb.

1. Against The OpponentÂ
North Florida is 6-0 against Jacksonville this season, sweeping the Dolphins on two occasions .. UNF leads Stetson 4-2 in the season series, taking two of three in DeLand and two of three at Harmon Stadium last weekend … JU is the fourth seed in the ASUN South Division, while Stetson is the three seed … UNF trails JU, 42-39, in the all-time series … Stetson paces UNF, 32-28, in the closely contested head-to-head series.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - In a series that had spotless defense through two games, late-game defensive miscues loomed large as the Ospreys (18-20, 11-7 ASUN) were clipped by Stetson, 5-4, in the series finale Sunday, May 9. The Ospreys still won the series, taking two of three.
3. Magical Marabell
Outfielder Blake Marabell is writing his name in as one of the most prolific outfielders and home run robbers in the nation … Marabell has robbed three home runs this season … his first home run rob came at No. 24/21 Florida State in February when he was in left field to start the year … he also robbed Jacksonville's Duncan Hunter April 23 and Stetson's Eric Foggo Saturday, May 8 … Marabell's plays against Jacksonville and Stetson happened in the left center gap at Harmon Stadium as the senior not only went above the wall but reached back over the wall to reel the fly balls back in.
4. The Seeds are Set
The Navy and Gray took care of business last weekend, winning two of three against Stetson to earn the right to host the ASUN Divisional series the weekend of May 21 … the divisional round is a best of three-games format, giving the winner the chance to advance to the ASUN Championship Round May 27-29 … North Florida finished just one game back of ASUN South Division top-seeded FGCU.

Graduate student Alex Kachler has stood atop the ASUN batting average statistical leaders list for the majority of the season … Kachler was named a finalist for the 2021 Senior Class Award ... this week is no different as he paces the conference with a .374 batting average … righty Brandon Reitz has transitioned from his starter role to his closer duties, securing two more saves last weekend … Reitz has seven saves this season, fifth most for a pitcher in a single season in UNF's DI era … the closer is 27th in Division I for saves … Tanner Clark continues to prove to be one of the toughest outs in the country … the lefty hasn't struck out since April 23 against Jacksonville … he's the eighth toughest batter to fan in the nation … in 77 games played as an Osprey, Clark only has two multi-strikeout games … he's never struck out more than twice in a game.
