Ospreys Host FGCU and Georgia State, Play a Pair at Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF beach volleyball concludes the regular season with a four-match weekend, including two at home.

The Ospreys host FGCU and Georgia State April 17 before going to Jacksonville for a match against FGCU and JU the following day.

1) Last Time Out
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - UNF beach volleyball (17-7) played its fourth-ranked opponent in five matches, falling to #3 Florida State (24-4), 5-0, on the road Saturday, April 10.

2) Happy to Be Home
The Ospreys have made the most of their chances at home this season … UNF has already played 12 matches at home, its most home matches in a single season in program history … the Ospreys are 11-1 at The Coop in 2021 … UNF has won 52 of 60 courts played in matches at The Coop this season.

3) 20-Win Club
Antonia Harrison and Dana Roskic are nearing the 20-win milestone … the duo is a team-best 18-6 on the year … Harrison and Roskic are 14-5 at the second slot and 4-1 at the top slot … they were named ASUN Pair of the Week April 7, the third honor for Roskic and the first for Harrison … only 12 Ospreys in program history have reached the 20-win milestone in a season.

4) Of Note
North Florida has played nine matches against ranked opponents this season … UNF is 5-1 in neutral site matches … the Ospreys are looking for their fourth 20-win season in program history … Callie Workman is four wins from tying Julie Trembley and Cam McGuire for career wins … UNF came in ranked No. 20 in the latest CollegeBeachVolleyball.com poll … the Ospreys were receiving votes in the latest AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll … Maddie Norris played in her first match outside of extras competition last weekend.

5) Scouting Report
FGCU: The Eagles are 11-11 this season … UNF topped FGCU, 3-2, in the only meeting between these two teams this year … FGCU is 2-5 on the road and 9-6 in neutral site matches … FGCU has two top-20 wins, a 3-2 defeat of No. 14 Stetson and 4-1 win against No. 11 FAU … FGCU has a 52-48 duals record … Kayla Whetstone and Kacie Johnson lead with a 14-6 record, going 13-6 at the second pair.
Georgia State: Georgia State is 19-12 on the year … the Panthers' biggest wins this year have come against Stetson and Tulane … Georgia State is coached by Beth Van Fleet and Tiffany Creamer … Van Fleet became the head coach prior to the 2013-14 season.
Jacksonville: Jacksonville is 2-15-1 and on a five-match losing streak … the Dolphins' only wins came against Erskine February 25 … UNF swept Jacksonville in the only meeting between these two teams.
