Men’s Tennis Tripped Up by Georgia State

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF men's tennis (2-5) fell in a 5-2 decision against a tough Georgia State (4-4) team Sunday, March 7 from the UNF Tennis Complex.
The doubles point went down to a tiebreak at slot two, but Georgia State got the edge, 7-6 (7-4). The Panthers jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a straight-sets win at five singles. Nilo Duarte cruised past GSU's Roberts Grinvalds, making it 2-1.
The Panthers won courts one and six to clinch the match, with Rodrigo Crespo claiming UNF's second point with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory against Mihai Marinescu at four singles. Matt Carroll pushed the second-singles match to three sets before falling to Andrei Duarte, 6-3, in the deciding frame.
