ORLANDO, Fla. - The Ospreys fell to No. 16 UCF, 6-1, in Orlando, Fla., Saturday afternoon.Â
In doubles, Nandini Sharma and Jaleesa Leslie downed Valentina Mariotto and Sean Lodzki on court three, 6-1.
In the one slot, Catherine Gulihur and Ana Paula Melilo fell to No. 60 Ksenia Kuznetsova and Valeriya Zeleva, 6-3.Â
Lucia Montano and Constanza Gorches went 4-4, unfinished on court two.Â
Ksenia Kuznetsova got the first win in singles, downing Melilo in the three slot 6-2, 6-2, to give UCF a 2-0 lead.Â
Jaleesa Leslie stretched the Knight's lead with a victory on court four. She defeated Constanza Gorches 6-3, 6-4.
UCF's Sharma clinched the win, downing Summer Yardley 6-4, 7-5 on court five.Â
Lucia Montano, ranked 84th, took No. 67 Zeleva to three sets on court one. Zeleva won the first set 6-2 and Montano came back in the second, 6-3. Zeleva won the match, 6-4 in the third set.Â
Freshman Annabelle Davis got her second win of the season in her second appearance for the Ospreys. Davis edged Marion Deloziere 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (11-9) in the six slot.Â
Gulihur was the last man standing on court two and fought hard. She fell to No. 95 Evgeniya Levashova 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 0-1 (6-10).Â
The Ospreys begin ASUN play Friday, March 19, hosting FGCU.
