Nine Teams Come to the UNF Tennis Complex
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - For the first time since 2016, UNF women's tennis will host a fall invite at the UNF Tennis Complex.Â
1) Rewind
ORLANDO - North Florida women's tennis' Kit Gulihur and Ana Paula Melilo rose to the occasion Monday morning, defeating the Florida Gators' Carly Briggs and Marlee Zein in the ITA Southeast Regionals Doubles Championship match to claim the doubles main draw crown.
2) Who Ya' Got?
North Florida welcomes a very competitive field, featuring nine strong teams from a variety of conferences.Â
The following teams will be competing, with the total players from each school in parentheses:
3) Format and Schedule
The format features a compass draw of eight. Each player will play three doubles and three singles matches.Â
Singles matches will be in a best two of three format with tiebreak sets. Doubles go one set up to six points, with a tiebreak at 6-6.
Friday (Nov. 12) – 2 Doubles, 1 Singles
Saturday (Nov. 13) – 1 Doubles, 1 Singles
Sunday (Nov. 14) – 1 Singles
4) Representing UNF
North Florida has seven competing in the final competition of the fall.Â
Isabel Oliveira, Summer Yardley, Kit Gulihur, Sean Lodzki, Anslee Long, Annabelle Davis and Kendall Nash will represent UNF.Â
The last time UNF competed on its home courts the Ospreys claimed the 2021 ASUN Championship.
