FSU, UNCW and St. Johns River State Come to Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF beach volleyball hosts its second invitational at the new Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex March 7. A strong group of teams between No. 2/3 FSU, UNCW and St. Johns River State are lined up for Saturday.

North Florida plays all three visiting teams and hosts two neutral site matches.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF beach volleyball (1-3) had a pair of battles on a windy Saturday afternoon at The Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex, although a duo of ranked foes got the upper hand.

North Florida dropped matches to No. 10/11 FIU (2-1) and No. 18 FAU (3-1) Feb. 22, concluding UNF's first UNF Beach Invitational at The Coop.

Getting Familiar

North Florida went 20-14 a year ago, tying its most wins in program history.
UNF received votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll eight different weeks in 2019.
The 2020 roster features six players that compete on the beach and indoor side.
Dana Roskic was selected to the ASUN Preseason All-Conference Team in her freshman season.
Callie Workman led the Ospreys in wins during the 2019 season. Her 24 wins was tied-for-fifth all-time in UNF single season history.
UNF has already played three ranked opponents this season.

No. 2/3 FSU

The Seminoles went 29-7 in 2019 and finished sixth in the NCAA Tournament.
FSU has a balanced roster with 11 upperclassmen and 12 underclassmen.
Head coach Brooke Niles has led FSU to 42 AVCA Top-10 wins in her four seasons.
Florida State entered the season ranked second in the country in the AVCA Preseason Coaches Poll.
