AUSTIN, Texas – No. 17-ranked North Florida Beach Volleyball dropped a pair of close ranked matches against No. 10 Long Beach State and No. 3 USC to open the Texas Invitational on Friday at Texas's ATX Beach.
Senior pair Andrea Da Silva Encinas and Madison Espy went unbeaten on the day at the three line.
Junior Eden Anderson and freshman Ally Bunch posted a 22-20, 21-15 win on the four line, while Da Silva Encinas and Espy recorded a 21-18, 9-21, 15-13 win at the three position against No. 10 Long Beach State.
Da Silva Encinas and Espy added another ranked win against No. 3 USC, 21-16, 21-13.
North Florida battles No. 1 UCLA at 10:30 a.m. and No. 2 Stanford at 12:30 p.m. ET to close out the Texas Invitational on Saturday, March 28.
