Espy And Da Silva Encinas Earn ASUN Pair Of The Week Honors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 17-ranked North Florida Beach Volleyball senior pair Andrea Da Silva Encinas and Madison Espy earned ASUN Pair of the Week honors on Tuesday, March 31.

It marks a conference-best third time this season that North Florida has earned the weekly award. Espy has earned the distinction twice this season as a part of two different pairs.

The pair earned a pair of top-10 wins when it defeated the three flights against No. 3 USC and No. 10 Long Beach State at the Texas Invitational. The tournament featured eight teams ranked in the top-17 and five in the top-10, including No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 Stanford and No. 3 USC. The duo defeated No. 10 Long Beach State, 21-18, 9-21, 15-3, and earned a straight-set win against No. 3 USC, 21-16, 21-13.

North Florida returns to the sand to compete in No. 14 Florida Atlantic's Capri Classic on Friday and Saturday, April 10-11 in Boca Raton, Fla.
