Ospreys Fall to No. 17 Georgia State, Down Mercer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF beach volleyball opened up play at The Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex with a split Friday, Feb. 21. The Ospreys (1-1) fell to No. 17 Georgia State before sweeping Mercer, 5-0.

Match 1
Georgia State went up 1-0 but UNF evened it thanks to a comeback win from Leah Maloney and Sydni Small at the five slot. Rebounding from a 21-9 loss in the opener, the pair rallied to win 25-23 and 15-13. The Panthers (2-0) secured the following three courts to take the match.

We had a nice clean sweep of Mercer and I think we did much better with our serve. We're looking forward to tests against FAU and FIU tomorrow.
