STARTING BLOCK
Wrapping up action at the Tom Jones Memorial meet on Saturday, North Florida women's track and field team got several PR performances in the 1500m and 400m races.

AROUND THE TRACK
- Freshman Grace Gumpel led a handful of Osprey runners with PRs in the 1500m race, clocking a time of 4:39. Fellow freshmen Camryn Cooney (4:45) and Tina Cesnik (4:49) also posted personal bests
- The 400m saw Jenn Brunson race to a PR of 57.00 with Jade Sullivan (57.09), Crystal Liebenberg (57.10) and Syd Steele (57.16) following closely behind. For Steele the performance capped off a double PR weekend.
FROM THE FIELD
- Freshman Kaley Petrosky upped her season best high jump height to 1.65m (5-05.00)
UP NEXT:
North Florida will have a few weeks off before competing in the ASUN Outdoor Championship on May 10-11 at Hodges Stadium.
COACH JEFF PIGG REMARKS
"The 1500m girls looked good racing. Grace (Gumpel) really dropped her time and the whole group ran well. The same goes for the 400m group and many of them doubled back from yesterday's races and ran strong."
