PHOENIX, Ariz. - No. 17/16 Grand Canyon swept the Ospreys (7-5) at the GCU Beach Volleyball Stadium in UNF's road trip opener Thursday, March 14.

The Lopes (9-2) won in order of 5, 4, 2, 1, 3, taking each match in straight sets. Carolyn Cain and Blaire Register won in the extra matches, giving them five consecutive victories.

Carolyn Cain and Callie Workman had a shot in the first set but Taylor Jarzombek/Esmee Priem hung on to win 23-21 before taking the second set by four.

UNF has a big road swing next as it heads to Phoenix to face Grand Canyon before going to the University of Arizona Tournament March 15-16.

This is the third ranked team that UNF has faced this season.
